2017 Collings Parlor 2ht in excellent condition, serial number is 27571. Long and narrow body shape is inspired by guitars from the 19th century. This smaller body produces excellent tonal balance, also very comfortable to play. Herringbone binding, with a “T-series finish” that is a nitro finish sanded down even further from their standard instruments. This ultra thin finish further enhances the sound and allows the natural qualities of the wood to shine. Sitka spruce top with East Indian rosewood back and sides, and mahogany neck. This one is in brand new condition and has been well maintained. Sound is rich and warm, perfect for intimate settings such as a home studio or a smaller performance. Guitar comes with the original hard shell case.

Collings Guitars Serial Number Dating

  • Collings mandolins have a hand-written serial number on the label inside the body. The table below lists serial number ranges issued into production by year. Serial numbers are assigned at the beginning of the build process, so some mandolins would have been completed and shipped in subsequent year(s).
