Outlook for Mac does not support “direct booking” as Outlook for Windows does. Direct booking is a MAPI-only feature and Outlook for Mac uses Exchange Web Services. However, you can use Resource mailbox the same way as in Outlook for Windows. See the article Managing Resource Mailboxes. Outlook for Mac does not support a way to replace. Outlook isn't the default email application until you change that setting. How to use the tool. Download and open the Default Mail Application tool. In the Default Mail Application dialog box, select com.microsoft.outlook, and then click Make Default. Exit the Default Mail Application tool.

Symptoms

  1. The following steps demonstrates how to drag the icons from the Applications folder. Go to Finder Applications and open the Office app you want. In the Dock, Control+click or right-click the app icon and choose Options Keep in Dock.
  2. I'm using the Outlook 2016 client on Mac. Even though during their April release, Microsoft had confirmed that Groups is now available for Outlook on Mac, the icon is still missing from my MacBook Air Outlook client. I've tried removing my account and signing it again, still no luck.
  3. Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 and earlier versions store the AutoComplete list in a nickname (.nk2) file on the disk. Outlook 2010, Outlook 2013, and Outlook 2016 store the AutoComplete list as a hidden message in your primary message store. Outlook 2010, Outlook 2013, and Outlook 2016 let you import the older.nk2 files.
