This is an interesting book about Greek myths, gods, goddesses, demigods who become heroes, and deadly monsters such as the Minotaur and Medusa. One myth tells the story of Zeus’s father, Cronos, who killed his own father Uranus in order to take his throne. However, Uranus tells him that one of his sons would overthrow him one day. Heroes, Gods and Monsters of the Greek Myths by Bernard Evslin was first published in hardcover in 1967. A collection of stories from ancient Greek and Roman mythology retold for a young adult audience, it is considered a modern classic in the genre of ancient myth retellings. Justice League: Gods and Monsters is a 2015 direct-to-video animated superhero film, part of the DC Universe Animated Original Movies series. It features an alternate universe version of the DC Comics superhero team the Justice League.It was released as a download on July 21, 2015, and released on DVD and Blu-ray on July 28, 2015. Poseidon, a brother of Zeus, was lord of the sea and a god of horses. A wrathful, moody god, he carried a trident and traveled in the company of sea nymphs and monsters of the deep. His Latin name was Neptune. Demeter was Zeus's full sister, a goddess of vegetation and fertility.
